I thought that to have a complex drink, you had to have lots of ingredients. The reality is …. you can get a lot of complexity in an Old Fashioned with a good 100 proof whiskey, a good rich simple syrup and a healthy dose of bitters. On a deeper level, you can overthink life sometimes.
