Time is running out to enter your cocktail recipe in the Bourbon Women Association’s Not Your Pink Drink contest: Entries must be received electronically by 11:59 p.m. EDT Sept. 1 (tomorrow) at www.bourbonwomen.org.

There are two divisions: professional bartender (entry fee, $25) and amateur mixologist ($15). The winners from each division will be unveiled at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, Ky., on Sept. 14 and will be the Bourbon Women’s signature cocktails for the coming calendar year.

Each recipe must contain bourbon and at least two other ingredients, and, as the name would indicate, cannot produce a pink drink. I explained why on a local newscast yesterday; tune in here to find out - and get those entries in!
